General Information
There are 72 local Boy Scout Councils in the Northeast Region sending 233 troop
contingents to the 2005 National Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill near Fredericksburg,
Virginia. Some councils will have one troop, others as many as twelve troops.
The mission of the Northeast Region is to provide these 8,388 Scouts and 932 leaders
with the experience of a lifetime! More than half of these adult leaders serving as
staff members in support of the Northeast Region’s five Subcamps have been Wood Badge
trained (the pinnacle of adult BSA training).
Our Northeast Region Jamboree staff mission: CLEAN, STRONG AND EFFICIENT as we
collectively work to provide an environment that will make this event one of the
Jamboree Scout’s top five lifetime experiences.
