Program Information

If you're between the ages of 7 and 20, you might be interested in one of the Scouting programs. If you're a parent, you might be interested in volunteering to be a Scout leader. Scouting offers a time-tested set of activities that have produced fine citizens, dedicated family members, and strong community leaders for more than 90 years. A Scout is Reverent  The information contained within is designed to assist local Councils with there religious related needs in effort to fullfil the 12th point of the Scout Law and Duty to God.

The Wood Badge is an advanced training program for adult leaders in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, and Venturing. It is designed to train key pack leaders, unit committee members, scoutmasters and assistants, team leaders and assistants, crew advisors and assistants, and other Scouters directly related to pack, troop, team and crew operations.

The Order of the Arrow is Scouting's National Honor Society.

The purpose of the Order of the Arrow is four-fold:
  • To recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.
  • To develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit
  • To promote Scout camping
  • To crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others

Youth Leader Training - The National Youth Leader Training has been developed to train our youth leaders in leadership skills to accomplish the Boy Scouting’s Objectives: To build character, foster citizenship and develop mental, moral, and physical fitness.

National Camping Schools train key summer camp leaders in many facets and positions of camp leadership including Camp Directors, Program Directors, Aquatic Directors, Chaplains, Commissioners, COPE Directors, Climbing/Rappelling Directors, Nature Ecology Directors, Outdoor Skills (Scoutcraft) Directors, Shooting Sports Directors, Trek Leaders (Voyageurs) Health Officers, and Rangers. The Northeast Region conducts Cub Scout National Camping Schools for Cub Day Camp and Cub Family Camp personnel, and Resident National Camping Schools for Cub Scout and Boy Scout resident camping. Leave No Trace is a wilderness ethics philosophy. The Northeast Region conduct Leave No Trace Trainer courses at several of its National Camping Schools.
