NCAC Grand Centennial Parade and Centennial Scouting on the Mall in our Nations Capital:
From July 23 - August 8 on the Washington Monument grounds in D.C. The National Capital Area Council (NCAC), supported by Mason-Dixon and Shenendoah Councils, will host "Centennial Scouting on the Mall." click the linked promotional flyer for details about the cool things your Scouts, Scouters and families can do as they tour or travel to the Jamboree.
Also, on July 26, 2010 NCAC will host the
"Grand Centennial Parade"
on Constitution avenue. The route will lead floats, bands, marchers and more past the Memorial Mall, the White House and more.... It promises to be a unique opportunity for 19 scouts and two leaders chosen by each Council in the country that choses to participate. Jamboree at Time
Square in New York City:
We would like to invite you and your Scouting family to join us on the afternoon of Saturday, July 31 in Time Square, New York as the entire NYC Scouting family - past - present and future celebrates 100 years of Scouting! You will be able to take part in special New York City-style show and the nationwide broadcast of "The Shining Light Across America from the National Scout Jamboree. We invite you to visit New York City and its numerous attractions the weekend of July 30th - August 1st and enjoy special access and discounts for the whole Scouting family at museums, ballparks, restaurants, city parks and more. Councils of NER, Area 4 Present Campaganza 2010: 
This Jamboree style event will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Moraine State Park, site of the 1973 and 1977 National Jamborees. Scout units will be permitted to camp at the state park the weekend at no additional cost. Most Scouts will never have the opportunity to participate in a National or World Jamboree, but an event like this will give every Scout the opportunity to be part of a climatic Scouting event of epic proportion. www.campaganza.org
